Super! Scintillating! Sensational! Dick Vitale, Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis, and Rece Davis have me ready to watch the final evening of March Madness (in April). I love watching quality commentary by guys who are knowledgable and passionate about basketball. I believe the same can be true in a Christ follower’s life. Some of the most prolific pastors and charismatic Christians are the ones that are defined by their passion for and knowledge of God. One of my favorite writers and pastors is Erwin McManus. He pointed out in a recent sermon series that passionate people change the course of history, good and bad. Passionate people make good leaders. Leave your mark on history in your God-given sphere of influence. And remember, the size of the imprint of the mark you make will be determined by your level of passion. As for the outcome of the game…may the most passionate team win!
